Kate Bush needs no introduction – 20 million records sold, got record deal at age 16 after being recommended by David Gilmour, yes Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, you get the idea. Producers Datasette, as talented as they are still have a few records to sell before achieving similar distinction. They released their first self-titled LP last year and have stayed in the public eye through a series of remixes, the latest being great version of Kate Bush’s 1985 lead single, Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God). This song has been remixed and sampled countless times so it was impressive to hear someone do it well yet again. The production captures an elegant balance of upbeat movement and laid back atmospheric instrumentation, perfect for the classic get up and go morning playlist. Very space age, enjoy.
