Fashion week starts today here in the city and traditionally that’s meant me at events with like 1000:1 girl to guy ratio, this time around it’s not looking any different, thank you Mercedes-Benz. As usual I’m N.O.R.E. on Friday’s so I’ll leave you with a few Crystal Castles songs that came back into my life randomly. Courtship Date, as you will easily recognize by the intro, was sampled by Timbaland for 50 Cent’s Ayo Technology, fresh. Oh yeah, if your wondering why there’s a beat up Madonna picture up there, that’s because Crystal Castles illegally used that version of Trevor Brown’s image to promote their CD’s and sell T-Shirts. After a mini war with Brown the band finally settled and now own all the rights to the image – bad ass.

im glad to finally see some CC up here!!! im a big fan of theirs and am waiting for them to come out with some new shit — althouhg their current inventory never gets old… i think the two you posted, along with vanished and crimewave, are their freshest tracks imo
Yeah I posted them before the blog got shut down. They've been in all sorts of legal trouble for sampling etc but we should be hearing some new material soon.
was hoping to catch them tonight at ATP in NY but missed them sadly and am waiting for them to get back from their international venues and play in the states again. air war and untrust us are great too
