I got this in my Soundcloud inbox this morning and wow ULTRNX went bananas on this remix. The original Don’t Wanna Miss you is about the half pleasure/half pain nature of breakups – you feel free of all the things that drove you to the point of no return but you also miss the good things. Your mind is constantly in this bittersweet state of limbo and you find it hard to meet new people and move on.
The feeling captured by this remix is complete opposite of that! This is when you get your shit together, realize there’s an entire world at your disposal and you hit the ground running. Relationships are a beautiful thing but life is way too short to be caught up in all the maintenance associated with some of them. ULTRNX captures an energy and sense of movement with the production that just makes you want to get up, realize it’s not that serious and live it up. Ira Atari’s last EP was called Just Fu#@kin Dance but they might want to recycle that name and have ULTRNX produce the entire album.
