I’ve been on the road a lot lately so I haven’t had time to check out submissions but this morning a song submitted by a dude called Falcon Punch caught my eye and I’ve been rocking to it ever since. I’d never heard of producer/DJ Avery Henderson before but his song description mentioned how the track samples Delegation’s Darlin’ (I Think About You) and that’s when I knew I had a fellow crate digger on my hands. Darlin’ is a deep cut from the late ’70s barely heard here in the states so props to Henderson for bringing it back.
Anderson takes the minimalist approach on this one by simply adding some drums and flipping the arrangement to make it mostly instrumental. His edit highlights the tracks amazing bass line and guitar groove making it perfect for all your Space Age lounging needs. Anyways, Falcon Punch gives me a good reason to introduce the EMPT army to Britain’s Delegation, enjoy.
