This BAD boy got a hold of me the moment it began. The head bopping, lip biting, and foot tapping all started simultaneously as I sat at my desk to listen in, grande cup of java in tow. I’m still not sure if it was the rush from the java, or simply these remix kings (RAC, in case you didn’t already know) naturally consistent talents that took over my entire morning, but I’m still buzzing with energy, and though this day is quite grey in NYC, for some reason I’m feeling — AH-MAY-ZING!
Escort‘s dapper little single: “Starlight” was released back in 2006, and as the remixing world is known to be quite the no-holds-barred kind of realm, it’s still very rare that a remix has the ability to revive an interest in the originators work. RAC has managed to do exactly that on this one, blessing Escort with a fresh new lifeline of which I am positive they’ll be latching on to and riding the entire distance, wherever that may lead.
Starlight (Rac Remix) boasts a fatter Italo bassline (which you yourself will never want to quit) skillfully infused into the super crisp strings from the original work of Escort‘s 17-piece orchestra, and topped off by the original Adeline Michele vocals that take on that classic disco form in all of it’s “Disco-Feveresque” glory.
Somebody cue Al Pacino and Michelle Pfieffer over and get them into character as Tony Montana and Elvira get ready to hit the dance floor ala Scarface style!
Put simply, it’s a masterfully smashing and thoroughly enjoyable remix for you to have on repeat the entire week!
Enjoy this one at great volumes EMPT Nation.
