Kevin Nash & Moses Sumney – Lost & Found (Lianne La Havas Cover)

Come upstairs and I’ll show you where all my
Where my demons hide from you
Just look at who I have become
I am so ashamed you were the one that made me feel the way I do

I heard a quote at one of my yoga classes a couple of weeks ago that went something along the lines of, “True love is loving someone without changing them at all.”  It’s so hard to embody and enact, but why? As if the feeling you have in your mind, the projection of the perfect love in your mind, is any better than what exists truly in real life… It’s amazing how thoughts and feelings can take such true form in people. But to transform someone you love into something entirely different based on what you feel is right? Ask not how you can change another person but how you can better yourself. And maybe, how that person helps you be a better person, if that is the role that they seem to fit.

This track is really beautiful for a day of contemplation and thought, and Sundays are a day that I take solace in for that aspect alone. Sundays are a day of re-assessment and inner dialogue. Not a lot of talking to others, with the exception of the occasional brunch, because it’s good to be quiet, too. Every other day of the week requires something of us, but Sundays are ours for taking.

Kevin Nash & Moses Sumney bring us a lovely, stripped down and soul-filled take on Lianne La Havas lyrical masterpiece. Men who sing about love and hurt like women do always hold a special place in my heart.

Happy Sunday ya’ll.
