I like listening to Chromeo, aside from the music just being flat out good, Dave 1′s lyrics are right in tune with my style in all matters girl related – Have fun, know what she wants, take her out to eat, make her comfortable, be sincere, take her out to dance, don’t be shy, show compassion when she’s flipping out as all girls do from time to time, don’t be a sissy (if she wants someone flipping out with her she’ll call her girlfriend and have no use for your girly man ways), let her be independent, take her on trips, have some more fun and be cool.

With that said, it’s time again for my favorite genre blending; sex-saturated; Arab/Jewish; long live the 80′s  synth-pop sensation – Chromeo. Their latest effort is a cover of the Eagles 1980′s ballad I Can’t Tell You Why.  The track was released recently and will part of a larger collaboration between Chromeo and the renowned DJ Kicks Mix Series. This isn’t your usual uptempo Chromeo but a good track regardless. Here’s Tenderoni, one of my favorite tracks from Fancy Footwork, enjoy.

Every time I listen to Chromeo I’m reminded of those old school smooth soul R&B/Funk bands. You know, like the Barry Whites, Fatback Band, Major Harris, the Persuaders. All the guys whose sole purpose as artist was to sing about the many complexities, dimensions and details of macking it to girls on a daily basis. I was always fascinated by those steamy spoken interludes Barry White had in his songs, I mean you have to be deep in the seduction game to pull that off and not come across like a master cheese-ball. Call Me Up is about making the said girl comfortable with some casual phone conversation and flirtatious foreplay…

All you rookies can learn a thing or two from this song – making a girl at ease and comfortable around you will get you very far in romance. Communication is key, I know it sounds cliche but if you dive into that concept and apply it you’ll be surprised how open a pretty girl can get and how exiting a love life can be.
