Feel free to put this track on repeat because that’s where it’s been on my playlist. Roosevelt, who just signed with Greco-Roman, hits the ground running with this eclectic groove. Greco-Roman is the collective/label/party that boasts artists like Joe Goddard and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Roosevelt has made a name playing sets at the renowned Total Confusion electronic dance music parties in Cologne, Germany, and is slated to play shows with both T.E.E.D. and Hot Chip in the coming months.
Though I hate making comparisons, Roosevelt‘s electro-pop grooves remind me of a more vocally ethereal Metronomy. The beats are thick and chest-pounding; the synths are nubile and dance-worthy. Tobias Thomas‘ vocals float evenly through the musical waters and call like sirens beckoning you closer. While we wait for more, I’ll gladly keep this track at the top of my playlists.
