Hold fast to your dreams, for without them life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly” – Langston Hughes
Just when I thought I never wanted to hear another Fleetwood Mac remix or mashup ever again…Walter Sobcek whips out their unleashes an early (but very legitimate) contender for classic remix of the year. The mysterious Parisian duo named after that crazy bowler from one of the greatest movies of all time have entered 2013 with a bang, and I hope it’s a sign that they plan to be a bit more active than usual this year.
It’s not easy to put Gigamesh or Psychemagik to shame, but Walter Sobcek has done just that. This “edit” is just the full monty laden with a nuanced touch. With a Falke-ian bass line and a Lifelike-y vocal choppage, this one is “Space Age” to the max. Mark it 10. In their words:
rent a LeBaron and hit the road from Chateau Marmont to Santa Monica, NOW… And while you´re at it, slip this little remix of FM´s Dreams and spin the shit out if it!
Dream on, dreamers. Dream on. You’re entering a world of joy.
