Le Miel du Mois by Steph Lund: Fevrier et Mars 2012

It’s been a long time coming but it’s finally here. LMDM is back and the beloved mixtape is as my greatest inspiration would put it, insanely great. Per usual Steph captures a multitude of feelings, emotions and styles sure to keep the worst of music skimmers engaged and entertained. All the selections come together to portray a sort melancholic hope that instigates both thoughts of lost loves and desired passions. Great art always explores both coast, it always makes you think of the sad while inspiring the beautiful. LMDM is great art to me and throughout this unique combination of February & March that’s exactly what happens.

Born & raised on EMPT, Le Miel du Mois has become one of our most special and cherished offerings. Press play on this one, you won’t regret it.

The latest mixtape is a ‘Fevrier et Mars’ combination, since I was back and forth London/New York the last 7 months, I had to combine these two in one. The opening track and closing track to the LMDM’s are probably the ones I spend most time on, making sure they fit in opening/closing, so I hope you’ll find it right to fit your own close to March. Favorite artists I’m listening to right now are the latest from Youth Lagoon, Grimes, Tennis, Summer Camp, Breton and Beach Fossils. Also love what I’ve heard so far from Lefse Records new artist, Way Yes. Excited for more and for those that went to sxsw, tell us what some of your favorite artists you discovered there were.Want to hear about the new miels.
