First of all, that art work is amazing, I’m always thinking up metaphors about the concrete jungle but that waterfall idea take it to a new level. Just when I was finally in tune with the new Cut Copy vibe the remixes start pouring out but when their this good who can complain. First it was Tim Goldsworthy’s dance banger version and now Flight Facilities with their chilled out nu disco interpretation. You might have seen that name around these parts when we posted their summer anthem Crave You, or you may know them from their vast array of amazing remixes for just about every artists we love. I love the way these guys produce because of their sense of spacing and timing. I remember one of my conductors in high school telling how important silence was to music and how important it was to let things breath and develop. I became facinated with the concept and came across a quote by Mozart that has stuck with me ever since…
Silence is very imporant. The silence between the notes are as important as the notes themselves.” – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
It’s dark and raining in the concrete jungle and this remix sounds like summer in le Midi, might be time to take a trip somewhere. Alright, press play on this one and just ignore the ugly sites outside, enjoy.
