Hip-hop producers aren’t the only one’s who can transform completely off topic samples into something fresh and relevant, Passion Pit’s “Sleepyhead†is a glimpse of where sampling could go if used creatively, it’s truly endless. I got their Chunk of Change EP when I was in Boston and got reminded of it yesterday by the always on point Steph Lund. I have to admit though, there is a big difference between “Sleepyhead†and the rest of the EP. This is a great song though, very fresh.
