Findlay Brown – Promised Land

Funny how time flies, growing up in the city I use to hop the train and today I’m writing this post today from a private plane…

Monolo: Just remember last year at this time we were in a fucking cage, okay?
Tony: You remember. I’d like to forget that.
Manolo: I say be happy with what you got.
Tony: You be happy. Me, I want what’s coming to me.
Manolo: What’s coming to you?
Tony: The world, chico… and everything in it.

Ambition is a mother trucker because in moments like this all I can think about is what I have to do next and I never really give myself the luxury or credit to enjoy the moment. The music business has treated my very well for a long time but somehow it always just feels like a sample, I guess that explains why I’m writing a post when I should be laying back and hanging out. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I appreciate all the love and support I get from visitors of this blog and I want to spend time talking to you guys.

EMPT is regarded as the best new music site on the internet and that credence has opened up so many doors that it’s literally changed my life. So without being too sappy I’d like to thank all of you for your support cause man it feels good to go the airport and have a tail number to talk about. And it goes without saying how much I appreciate all my team members, family and friends. This dream would not be real without you guys. To the people trying to destroy this, get a life loser.

It was hard picking a song to go with this moment but I ended up with the Findlay Brown’s cover of Joe Smooth’s Promised Land. I don’t have much to say about it because the song is phenomenal and speaks on it’s own but I like the idea of creating that promised land. Contrary to popular opinion, we have the power to create and manifest anything we want, the law of transmutation is very real and if you’re not happy with any situation it’s truly in your hands to change it to whatever you want. Alright, I really have to go and enjoy this moment, it’s been a long time coming and it’s gotta mean something, enjoy.
