This is a quick post. I woke up this morning with a Valentines day hangover searching for a tune I could zone out to while getting ready for the day. I must have skipped 20 songs before iTunes shuffle landed Homeboi’s electronic adventure Shrimps which couldn’t have captured the moment better…
I’ve got the sweetest hangover, I don’t wanna get over…” – Diana Ross
There are times in one’s life when you can look and see nothing but good around you. You feel good about what’s to come and everything has an upside. There are other times when you could be looking at the exact same thing and feel the complete opposite. The pendulum swings from side to side and we go right with it for what is probably a very silly reason.
You always hear people talk about reality this and reality that but more than ever I’m understanding that reality completely moldable. For example, you think negative thoughts and your reality will inevitably be the same. You think positive thoughts and act upon them and you will get those type of results. Yet some insists on associating the negative perception as reality, I don’t know what the point of that is.
Anyways, Valentines day despite commercialization remains at the heart of it a day about positivity and love which is why I like it. There should be more days encouraging that type of vibe and thinking, enjoy.
