DCUP – I’m Corrupt (Viceroy Remix)

A heartfelt anticipation is spreading. You find yourself mindlessly gnawing at a fingernail or aimlessly staring at your screen while your heart thumps. Its the kind of nervousness that overwhelms only when an important event approaches – an interview. But not just any interview. I mean the kind you really want to crush, for the job you really want to get. You’ve poured mountains of energy into applications and preparations and completed all but the final test. The last step is to put your money where your mouth (and experience) is, and hope that you don’t choke on the wrong question.

I’m Corrupt is a perfect anxiety reducer. DCUP‘s original version is already enjoyable with a retro flair that will make you want to disco all over the place. The Australian DJ/producer has a knack for creating dance-worthy grooves. He made a name for himself with Yolanda Be Cool on a personal favorite of mine, We No Speak Americano. But per usual, Viceroy lets all kinds of summertime loose on this remix. The bass kicks harder and the synths shine a little brighter. Plus the piano solo in the break down jazz it up and keep you carefree. If you’ve never heard of Viceroy, you’re just not enjoying yourself the way you should.
