My whole body is so cold that I’ve got the shivers–but I can’t tell whether or not I have the flu or I’m just completely unaccustomed to sub-50 degree weather in Los Angeles (eat it Global Warming). When I feel like shit, all I want to do is lay and bed and turn on some completely blissful, ambient music. Hior Chronik‘s “Still Foggy” is the sonic medicine the doctor ordered.
A couple of years ago, on my never-ending hunt to find the chillest music on this planet I stumbled across Cosmonaut Grechko, and the rest has been history. Located somewhere between Air and Radiohead (and bridging that gap swiftly), he’s an (I believe) classically trained pianist-turned producer and his orchestral riffs are firm evidence of a sophisticated technical. Now, the young Russian stalwart consistently makes some of the most soothing and refreshing tunes you can find on the web. His take on “Still Foggy” is as an ethereal romance more comforting than Chicken Noodle Soup.
